One Finger Dungeon - Launch
Hi everyone!
It has been a bumpy ride these last weeks to get here! I really need to thank all the people that supported One Finger Dungeon prototype after "My First Game Jam" on ITCH.IO. I would have probably not have the strenght to see it through the end of the project without you!
I took onboard all the feedback and shaped One Finger Dungeon to the vision I had for it. I tried to lower the difficulty of the initial levels and to introduce enemies and traps one at time so the player would have a chance to study the behaviour and patterns and learn to control Bjorn. I introduce Save Points at the start and the middle of each level, so you can take a breather every now and then.
New enemies are:
The Skeletons Guards: who can block your charge and push you back. You need to time your attack to hit them when they lower their shields after their attacks.
The Lich: Who will teleport away from you, throw fireballs and summon Skeletons Guard to protect himself. This has been the most complicated enemy to program, bytheway.
Giants: To be consider the final bosses of the game. They are protected by armour that must be destroyed before been able to defeat them and they will smash the ground in front of them to throw debries at you. Timing is key to be able to defeat them.
Also there is now a Score / Highscore feature to push you to try to make a perfect run!
Bjorn will also comment on his Deaths as well. Making your defeats even funnier!
I hope you will enjoy this new release. If I get more support I may implement an "infinite" mode so you can keep playing randomly generated levels when (and if) you manage to complete the 10 Levels on this Story Mode.
Thank you all!
Duck over and out!
